NBA Experience

In collaboration with the NBA, Disney is developed the NBA Experience as a one-of-a-kind environment packed with 13 interactive elements and hands-on activities across 44,000 square feet and two floors. NBA Experience will give guests the chance to feel like a basketball superstar, starting with getting drafted in their favorite team. AOA provided show set designers through the full length of the project and provided technical production support, supported Walt Disney Imagineering with proof-of-concept mock-up at our headquarters, and provided show coordination and general labor to support WDI at the final phase of the project. AOA’s construction management team led the electrical construction group to the successful completion of the project. This attraction is home to two large Mitsubishi ribbon boards and eight LED scoreboards along with two theaters and extensive show effects. The exterior facade consists of an expansive artwork piece with an intricate lighting system. The unseen components of the building include a complex life-safety system including emergency lighting and a complete smoke evacuation system. The AOA team worked with the vendors and contractors to make all of these systems work together seamlessly and safely.
