Mauricio is an experienced design professional with expertise in computer drafting, 3D modeling & rendering, space planning & programming, and project design phases. He is an aspiring architect who believes that architecture is more than just the design and construction of buildings; it is an opportunity to build community and experiences that shape our society positively.

His passion for design and the built environment led him to study architecture. After obtaining his Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Central Florida in 2015, he worked on projects like the Incredible Hulk Experience, The Edison, and the Battle Street Brewery. Being a part of the newly formed design studio at AOA, his newfound experience allowed him to become well-rounded in everything from 3D modeling & rendering, graphic design, master planning, and overall design. Soon after, he was accepted as a master’s candidate into the College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley, a top-ten US graduate architecture program. There, he was exposed to a west-coast style of design-thinking, refining his skills and knowledge even further. Ultimately, his thesis project was featured in architectural exhibitions and was also published in the book titled “Hip-Hop Architecture” by Sekou Cooke.

Mauricio brings a unique perspective to all clients projects, having worked on amusement attractions to academic projects for a top-ranked U.S. public university. He knows every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow as a team member. He is eager to bring his talents and architectural knowledge to any project AOA takes on.
