From the caverns of a hidden Resistance base to an explorer’s watering hole, Nathaniel has been behind telling the stories of the characters that fill immersive experiences for over 20 years. By pouring attention to detail into the props that surround us, he creates props and scenic pieces that tie all show set elements together. As an AOA set decorator and entertainment professional, Nathaniel adds broad experience and incredible attention to detail to any project.
Nathaniel pulls his themed entertainment and hospitality expertise from his years of hands-on experience working in regional theatre and scenic shop in New York and Seattle, as well as his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Production from the University of North Carolina. From Cirque du Soleil and Walt Disney Entertainment shows, Nathaniel fabricated props and scenic decoration for a number of world-class entertainment clients, and later went on to work for Walt Disney Imagineering as a set decorator. Within both the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, he led the design, fabrication, and installation of set dressing for several iconic attractions: Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and more.
Across these past positions and projects, he has worked on projects both domestically and internationally to create unique experiences for live entertainment and themed immersive environments. Nathaniel’s abilities put the cherry on top of any luxury hospitality, retail, themed entertainment, or museum experience; his work allows guests to fully immerse themselves into any kind of environment.
Shaped by these experiences, Nathaniel brings an eye for detail and work ethic to ensure that a project’s vision will become a unique experience in which guests can live out new narratives. With client vision in-hand and the greater AOA team behind him, Nathaniel is ready to decorate the set of the next great adventure.
