Arizona Biltmore
BRE Hotels and Resorts
The famous Arizona Biltmore, an historic hotel influenced by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, needed multiple renovations given its advanced age, including new and improved offerings and amenity upgrades.
AOA’s scope of work at the Arizona Biltmore encompassed design, ideation, construction, and renovations to many locations on property, including resurrecting a former historic speakeasy room, performing design and construction management and cost estimation for the property’s many improvements, adding a new theme park grade water slide and a new pool entry building, and upgrading the family pool, bar, kitchen, and cabanas. This was all accomplished while staying within historic preservation guidelines and out of guests’ view during construction. The original speakeasy was transformed from a conference room status back to its authentic state, with custom designed furniture and period pieces. AOA was also responsible for the creation of an augmented reality app guiding guests to the hidden speakeasy and revealing details about the space’s intrinsic characteristics.
